TRAIN..... Middlesbrough is now on a branch line from east coat main line operated by Stagecoach. From Kings Cross and all main line stations south you need to exit at Darlington. From Darlington you need to get the local train service to Redcar/Saltburn which stops at Middlesbrough station. From Middlesbrough station turn left, you should be within feet of a road/rail bridge called "The Albert Bridge" on Albert Road. Go under bridge and turn right onto Bridge Street. If you exit the station of the far side platform look come out of the station, turn right and Bridge St is over the road. (The Bridge Pub is just off on the left and the Teesside University is just off on the right – it’s the nice looking silver and yellow building), continue towards the Riverside, you cant miss it. PARKING..... There is no parking at the Riverside Stadium on match days unless you have a permit. Once you start to skirt around Middlesbrough on the A66 you are best to park in one of the multi-story car parks you pass. The alternative is to come off the A66 just after you pass the gas tanks to the right. Turn left at the top roundabout. The road slips right through some lights - park as soon as you can in the industrial area and walk in a forward direction with the traffic. The walk to the stadium will be about 20min but you can veer off into Middlesbrough town centre and pick up several friendly pubs en route to the stadium via the town centre route to the Riverside. For away fans Middlesbrough pubs are very friendly places to have a drink before the match - it is seldom we experience any violence. As long as you are OK with some friendly banter you will be OK.
